Hey Peeps!

 

I know it has been A SPELL since I last wrote on here, but there are some things on my heart and in my story that I feel it is at last time to share. As you all know, I believe that stories are important, and the sharing of them, the biggest difference in the world today. We need stories, but not just the hope filled fairy tale kind - I'm meaning specifically the TRUE ones. The real people and real life kind of stories, that help us understand each other and more importantly tie us together ♥ 

 

So for the next few months, I will be sharing real stories with you - from my life and the journey I have been on, and from the lives and journeys of my brothers and sisters all over the world. Why? Because it's time to. ðŸ’—

 

During a pretty intense season of heartbreak last year Jesus taught me something very important that helped me to heal. And it was this; that God will bring broken people together so they can help each other heal. At first this idea seemed ludicrous and just plain selfish. But at one of my darkest moments, He brought an old friend into my path who happened to be visiting my church at the time. She was just passing through and we decided to meet and catch up. The next three hours were the start of one of the most healing influences in my life. She shared her story, and I shared mine, and we both just cried and held each other, and prayed together. And at the end of that time we waked away a little more healed, a lot stronger, and with a cherished knowledge that we were not alone. ♥

 

So that's why I am doing this at last ♥. Because we all need the reminder that we are never alone, and that God does bring healing and joy through each of us, as long as we remember to not only lean on Him, but on each other as well.

 

The next several posts will be stories that are all true and unfiltered. I may change the names of those involved but will leave the truth and rawness just as it was, and if you resonate with any of this, or any of these stories please feel free to contact me and I would be more than happy to pray with you, listen, or just talk. :) ♥

Dear Readers, I thought that I would put this poem on here that I wrote recently. As a ballet fan, I love the artistic quality of the choreography and movement of Ballet. Dancing Ballet, at least in my view, is the creative merge portrayed between a dancer's imagination and movement. These two blend together to create a unique portrayal of beauty. Although Ballet is also a dance that requires much hard work and discipline, it is also somewhat freeing in it's way. Excuses.... excuses... excuses!

Dear Readers, I just thought that I would share with you something that I have been convicted with recently. For the past month I have been working at my new job as a toddler teacher at a daycare. I work full time and am gone all day until late in the evening, leaving me with Saturday and Sunday off. I am busy rushing off to work in the morning so I don't pay much attention to my younger siblings during my morning time, and by the time I get home I am too tired and sleepy from my day at work to pay attention to them. I have found myself spending all my day hours just focused on myself and it's ridiculous! I am constantly using the ugly phrase "I am just too busy!" "How many times a day do I use that sentence?" I thought to myself. "What if I recorded every time that I said that? What if I calculated the amount and compared it to the number of times that I said the opposite? What if I made it a goal to not say that every day as an ex...

Prayer Journal Idea...

Dear Readers, I have been really excited recently with something that I have caught back up on in my walk. When I was thirteen, I started writing down my prayers in a journal each day. It helped me to keep track of prayer requests and to be faithful in my communication with God. Anyhow- I have been doing it ever since, but recently have fallen away with this ritual. I stumbled upon one of these journals and was reminded about it. I have started again with a new book now and I am so glad to be back in the swing of my Prayer Journal writing again, as I have missed the comfort of it for a while! Anyways- I just thought that I would mention this idea to you. There are so many benefits to a Prayer Journal, and I just wanted to share with all of you! If you are having trouble remembering to pray, then this is a great way to get back into things. Just find a notebook or journal and keep it next to your bed for easy remembrance.
