Greetings Friends! Today I would just like to share with you some thoughts about the Lord's Prayer. This morning, when my family was gathered round the breakfast table, the section for the day happened to be The Lord's prayer. Now, I am sure that pretty much everybody has heard or read the Lord's prayer: which goes something like this: (NASB version.) "Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Dear Friends, I just feel like I need to share with you the most radical thing that has happened to me recently. I truly believe that God has just opened my eyes and my heart. I am so amazed at His goodness! It happened today while I was at work. I had just finished putting all of the children in my room at the daycare down for nap, and the room was quiet and peaceful. I was thankful that I had listened to the Holy Spirit inside of me urging me that morning to take my book "No Compromise" by Melody Green with me to work instead of the more frivolous one I had been into of late. I sat down and began reading where I left off at a few days before. It was the part of the book where Keith Green (a famous and godly singer/musician) is at this Christian Youth Festival. Dear Readers, I just thought that I would share with you something that I have been convicted with recently. For the past month I have been working at my new job as a toddler teacher at a daycare. I work full time and am gone all day until late in the evening, leaving me with Saturday and Sunday off. I am busy rushing off to work in the morning so I don't pay much attention to my younger siblings during my morning time, and by the time I get home I am too tired and sleepy from my day at work to pay attention to them. I have found myself spending all my day hours just focused on myself and it's ridiculous! I am constantly using the ugly phrase "I am just too busy!" "How many times a day do I use that sentence?" I thought to myself. "What if I recorded every time that I said that? What if I calculated the amount and compared it to the number of times that I said the opposite? What if I made it a goal to not say that every day as an ex...

Dear Readers, I have been really excited recently with something that I have caught back up on in my walk. When I was thirteen, I started writing down my prayers in a journal each day. It helped me to keep track of prayer requests and to be faithful in my communication with God. Anyhow- I have been doing it ever since, but recently have fallen away with this ritual. I stumbled upon one of these journals and was reminded about it. I have started again with a new book now and I am so glad to be back in the swing of my Prayer Journal writing again, as I have missed the comfort of it for a while! Anyways- I just thought that I would mention this idea to you. There are so many benefits to a Prayer Journal, and I just wanted to share with all of you!
